The Cameraman. A video equipment rental company in South Africa owned and run by Brian Green and Gavin McCulla. Brian has worked in the industry for 26 years servicing clients around the globe as a facilitator and operator, including; BBC, Channel 4, CBS, ABC News, Granada Television, Paramount Television, SABC and many others.

Brian is an international television news and documentary cameraman working on assignments around the globe. He started out as a fireman in the world's hotspots and war zones shooting news. In recent years he has mostly shot documentaries for blue chip international doccie series such as BBC Storyville and Channel 4 Witness. He has serviced most of the world's major broadcasters both shooting and facilitating. "I love the speed and urgency of the industry and understand all too well the need for excellently maintained equipment that is cared for.”

Gavin , for over the last 10 years has complimented The Cameraman's service by providing a faultless bookings platform that accommodates the clients' needs. He goes as far as you need him to go to get the job done, all in a manner, which has become hugely appreciated both by the local and international industry.

Sandra, who is assisted by Patience, has set the standards of maintenance and condition of equipment to heights that surprise and delight the clients and camera and sound operators alike.

The Cameraman stocks a wide range of equipment from Canon 5D HD, EX3 HD, P2 HD, GoPro HD, Sony Z7 & Z1 HDV range, as well as PD170 DVCAM for lower end formats. We carry a range of sound gear from Sound Devices mixers to Lectrosonic multi diversity UHF radio mics. We also stock lightweight dolly and tracks, minijibs or Edirol vision mixer (SD).
